Ballerina

A birthday present for my baby sister! Happy 12th, Mirha!

Persephone

Greek mythology is amazing, and my favourite legend has always been the story of Persephone and Hades, so I decided to illustrate the main characters, to play around with costume design. This took way too long to finish (almost two weeks!), but I'm happy with how it turned out.

This is the first half of the project, the other half (which I'm working on right now) will feature Hades.

A Bucketload of Fan Art

Here's a bunch of fan art, old and new, for you guys! I promise I have some actual work waiting to be uploaded, I'm just having a ton of trouble with my scanner. In any case, here we have Princess Bubblegum and Marceline (The Vampire Queen) from Cartoon Network's show Adventure Time.

And these two quick sketches were part of a challenge I did on my tumblr a while back, to draw my favourite characters, while my followers would have to guess who they were. The one above is Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark, from G.R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire.

Neville Longbottom, from J. K. Rowlings' Harry Potter series.

And Loki Laufreyson, of the Marvel Franchise.

Hope you like them!

Mathematical!

I went on an Adventure Time binge recently and just want to make some fanart ASAP.

Here are some lovely Adventure Time princesses (and a Vampire Queen!)

In order from top to bottom:

Flame Princess, Lumpy Space Princess, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum.

Ballerina

I'm so sorry for the lack of updates, but now that the school year is at an end, I finally have time to update this blog. And I'll be able to do it everyday, since I have a bunch of art to upload! Anyway, here is a ballerina silhouette done on photoshop.

Contest Stuff

This is basically me trying a more comic-book style.

Monster Challenge Day 1: Harpy

I guess I'm starting the 30 Day Monster Challenge now! Everyday, I have to draw a monster from the list (Knowing me, this will actually take up 2+ months, but I'll try my best!)

Day 1 is the Harpy, a half bird/half lady creature who is known in Greek mythology for constantly stealing food from people.

Mughal Empire Project

I'm finally done with this piece! It's some character design of a project I'm working on, which is set during the late stages of the Mughal empire.

Once Upon a Time

A page excerpt from a fake children's story book. This was when I discovered I adored Mid-century modern illustrations. And Mary Blair. And story books from the 50's. And... And birds.

Python of the Sky

"The rainbow began to appear, and sometimes two rainbows, one young and beautiful and the other an old and faint shadow. The rainbow was called the python of the sky"
